Your order will be processed and shipped within 2 business days. We will send you an email confirming the order has been dispatched and advising you of the freight company and tracking number so that you can track your order through the freight company’s website.
We can deliver some small items (generally up to 5kg) to a PO Box and Parcel Locker. If you provide us with a PO Box or Parcel Locker address and we can’t deliver your order we will contact you to get an alternative address.
Orders are shipped from our warehouse in Brisbane and transit times will vary depending on the item and how it was shipped. Most orders would generally be delivered within 1 to 10 days. As a guide most deliveries to areas on the East coast of Australia would be received within 1-5 days. All delivery times are approximate and delays experienced by the shipping company are out of our control.
Deliveries are made with a number of companies (for example - Australia Post and StarTrack) depending on the destination, size and weight of the order. Deliveries will be made during business hours (usually 9am to 5pm) Monday to Friday (excluding Public Holidays).
Our shipping companies will require the goods to be signed for on delivery. When signing for the goods please make sure that you check the number of cartons against the delivery docket. If the delivery cannot be made or there is no one available to sign for the goods, the parcel/s will be taken back to the freight company’s nearest depot. A card will be left with details of the delivery and it will be your responsibility to collect the goods. Redelivery can be arranged but the freight company’s redelivery fee will be charged to you. We strongly recommend that your goods are delivered to an address that is attended during business hours where someone can check and accept the delivery.
We do offer you the option of giving us an Authority to Leave which will give us permission to leave the delivery somewhere near the front door. If you select this option Outdoor Connection and the delivery company will not accept any responsibility for any loss or damage to the goods once delivery has been made.
By selecting "Yes" to Authority to Leave at checkout, you authorise Outdoor Connection and its delivery partners to deliver your order without requiring a signature, and to leave the parcel in a safe and accessible location at the delivery address provided.
1. Consent and Responsibility
By providing Authority to Leave, you acknowledge and accept full responsibility for the parcel once the delivery is confirmed by the courier, including instances where proof of delivery is recorded (e.g., GPS tracking or photo evidence). Outdoor Connection and its delivery partners are not liable for any loss, theft, or damage to the parcel after it has been delivered to the specified address.
2. No Authority to Leave
If you select "No", a signature will be required upon delivery. If no one is available to sign, the parcel will not be left unattended and will be redirected to the nearest collection depot or post office as per the courier’s standard procedures. If no collection depot or post office location is available at the discretion of the courier service, the parcel may be returned to Outdoor Connection. A repeat delivery attempt will then need to be paid for by the customer.
3. Delivery Attempts
Only one delivery attempt is included with your order. If the delivery cannot be completed due to the absence of Authority to Leave and no one is available to sign for the parcel, any additional delivery attempts or redirection will be at the recipient’s expense.
4. Safe Drop Location
If ATL is granted, the courier will attempt to leave the parcel in what they deem to be a reasonably secure and weather-protected location. However, the final decision and responsibility rest with the customer. If no suitable location is available, the parcel may be redirected to a depot or collection point at the courier’s discretion.
5. High-Value or Restricted Items
For certain high-value or regulated items, Outdoor Connection and its delivery partners reserve the right to override ATL instructions and require a signature upon delivery, even if ATL was selected at checkout.
6. Disputes
In the event of a dispute regarding delivery, Outdoor Connection will rely on the courier’s records (including tracking information, GPS coordinates, and delivery photo evidence, if available) as confirmation of successful delivery. Customers are advised to lodge delivery disputes directly with the courier in the first instance.
7. Consumer Rights
These terms are in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), which cannot be excluded. However, by selecting ATL, you accept that delivery is deemed complete once the parcel is left at the delivery address, and liability for loss or damage passes to you at that point.
Natural events or other disruptions to transport infrastructure can impact our ability to deliver orders on time to certain regions of Australia. In such cases deliveries usually proceed according to the normal schedule, based on standard freight frequency to your area.
These states may experience longer delays depending on the severity and location of the disruption. Delays of several weeks are possible, particularly for larger or bulkier items.
Items most likely, but not limited to delays include:
- Large tents
- Furniture
- Kamp-Rite products
- Gazebos and similar oversize items
Smaller parcels, especially those shipped via Australia Post, are typically less affected.
We actively monitor all orders and will contact customers directly if we anticipate any delivery issues. If you require a large item urgently — for example, due to an emergency or time-sensitive situation, please contact us directly to discuss possible alternative shipping arrangements.
