Authority to Leave Terms & Conditions
By selecting "Yes" to Authority to Leave at checkout, you authorise Outdoor Connection and its delivery partners to deliver your order without requiring a signature, and to leave the parcel in a safe and accessible location at the delivery address provided.
1. Consent and Responsibility
By providing Authority to Leave, you acknowledge and accept full responsibility for the parcel once the delivery is confirmed by the courier, including instances where proof of delivery is recorded (e.g., GPS tracking or photo evidence).
Outdoor Connection and its delivery partners are not liable for any loss, theft, or damage to the parcel after it has been delivered to the specified address.
2. No Authority to Leave
If you select "No", a signature will be required upon delivery. If no one is available to sign, the parcel will not be left unattended and will be redirected to the nearest collection depot or post office as per the courier’s standard procedures. If no collection depot or post office location is available at the discretion of the courier service, the parcel may be returned to Outdoor Connection. A repeat delivery attempt will then need to be paid for by the customer.
3. Delivery Attempts
Only one delivery attempt is included with your order. If the delivery cannot be completed due to the absence of Authority to Leave and no one is available to sign for the parcel, any additional delivery attempts or redirection will be at the recipient’s expense.
4. Safe Drop Location
If ATL is granted, the courier will attempt to leave the parcel in what they deem to be a reasonably secure and weather-protected location. However, the final decision and responsibility rest with the customer.
If no suitable location is available, the parcel may be redirected to a depot or collection point at the courier’s discretion.
5. High-Value or Restricted Items
For certain high-value or regulated items, Outdoor Connection and its delivery partners reserve the right to override ATL instructions and require a signature upon delivery, even if ATL was selected at checkout.
6. Disputes
In the event of a dispute regarding delivery, Outdoor Connection will rely on the courier’s records (including tracking information, GPS coordinates, and delivery photo evidence, if available) as confirmation of successful delivery. Customers are advised to lodge delivery disputes directly with the courier in the first instance.
7. Consumer Rights
These terms are in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), which cannot be excluded. However, by selecting ATL, you accept that delivery is deemed complete once the parcel is left at the delivery address, and liability for loss or damage passes to you at that point.
